Budapest and Friends: Fun and Comfort together in One Apartment
Once you’re on vacation, nothing beats the perks of luxury hotel living, but to be perfectly honest, a simple hotel room isn’t everyone’s ideal choice.
Arriving with with kids, for example, or another adult family member besides our partner, you might run the risk of having to get more than one room. If you’re lucky, there might be a shared space for you to be all together, eat and drink, play, and gear up for adventure.
The same will apply when traveling with friends.
With that in mind, you’ll do much better booking an apartment, which is more cozy and offers far more flexibility.
NH Collection Budapest City Center
The fact is that apartments aren’t shabbier than a hotel, and NH is a case in point. This four-star hotel is based in the heart of Budapest, just off Blaha Lujza tér and right beside the Anantara New York Palace, at Number 2-8 Osvát utca. Parking is available in Anantara’s own underground car park, comfortably close and safe.
All apartments feature a fully equipped kitchenette, with refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, electric kettle and microwave.
There’s also the usual range of hotel features of hair dryer, slippers, minibar, free toiletries included. Using the gym is free of charge, so nobody has to go without their daily workout.
There’s a choice of apartment sizes and arrangements:
Bring Friends to Budapest
If you’re traveling with friends, you’ll get a kick out of separate bedrooms plus the giant kitchen-living room combo. It’s not just there for cooking needs.
In fact, if you wanted to order a good meal, you have possibly the best room service in town at your disposal.
Take my advice and leave some room for dessert, because New York chocolate cake is a class of its own.
After a solid lunch, it’s time to go out into town. With so many possibilities at your doorstep, we’ll only highlight a few of the best.
For Fun with Friends
Exploring Margaret Island: Take a walk on Margitsziget, rent a bike or MonsteRoller or a Go Kart, and enjoy some quality time in natural surroundings.
Chill out at the Thermal Baths: Budapest is famous for its thermal baths, the perfect setting to relax and wind down. Our favorites are Széchenyi and the Rudas baths, both are highly recommended.
Row a boat on Városliget lake: Rent a rowing boat on Városliget lake, and enjoy this green oasis at the heart of the city.
Pleasure cruise along the Danube: Get on board one of the pleasure boats on the Danube, and see the sights lining the spectacular Budapest panorama. Seeing the night lights along the river will leave you spellbound.
Break out of an escape room: This is a great team building and recreational activity. Popular scenes include: Locked Room Budapest, Mystique Room, Neverland Bar & Escape Room.
Party downtown: Explore the scene around Deák tér, where so many bars and clubs are found. Walk along Király utca and the Gozsdu courtyard, then find your way back home along the Grand Ring Road.
Pálinkas at the museum: There are so many great museums in Budapest, but taking a tasting course at the Pálinka Museum is amusing as well as educational.
If you want to get back to the pad after the party, and carry on the conversation, or watch movies, or play board games, nobody’s going to mind how long you’re up.
Room service is fully available throughout your time there.

Their breakfast spread includes Hungarian classics as well as international flavors. Besides open buffet, there’s a menu available to order anything from French toast to Poker Bowls á la carte. Specialty coffee and fresh fruit juice is provided along with the food.
